Character Design
A collection of my different character designs across multiple projects
Knebby
Brief from Knebworth House
For work experience, I was set an external task by Knebworth house to design a new mascot. This mascot had to be a dinosaur, blue and reflect the values of Knebworth house. I first sketched out my ideas, creating rough designs to translate digitally. For my digital work, I used Adobe Illustrator.

Robot
Project - Regeneration
For this project, I wanted to create a stop motion animation. My character had to be structurally strong in order to not break while handling, which effected my design choices.

Emotions
Project - Surroundings
This project asked for a character design based on an emotion, using key words to inform the design. I chose childlike wonder and curiosity as I wanted to create a naïve, adventurous character, focusing on communicating their smaller size and willingness to explore. The digital designs were made in Adobe Illustrator.

Friends
Tim Burton Inspired Workshop
After visiting the Tim Burton Exhibition in London, I took part in a short workshop where I recreated my friend mimicking Burton's style. This design was used in a print workshop, so I wanted to focus on creating a line heavy design.

Experimentation
Personal work
In my own time, I wanted to create a character to play around with my style and creating cartoon characters. I wanted to play around with using simple clothes and colours.
